Selective Colour Photography

I am going to look at using selective colour as a technique in my photographs/posters to draw attention to the flag because I am thinking of making the rest of my images black and white to emulate Great Depression photographs. I know that this technique can look very cliched easily so I will have to be careful how I use it in my work.
